FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How many LivWell dispensary locations are there in Colorado?

LivWell operates 17 dispensary locations across Colorado, from the Denver metro to Fort Collins, Broomfield, Lakewood, Aurora, Pueblo, Cortez, and beyond. Whether you're in the city, the suburbs, or exploring somewhere more remote, there's likely a LivWell near you. Use our location finder to see the closest store and check current hours.

What makes LivWell different from other Colorado dispensaries?

LivWell is organized by effect — Rest, Relief, Calm, Focus, Bliss, and Energize — rather than just product type or strain. Instead of wading through hundreds of options, you start with how you want to feel and work from there. Every product carries experience-level labels, so new and seasoned shoppers can browse with equal confidence. LivWell has been part of Colorado cannabis since 2009 and offers one of the largest selections in the state across both recreational and medical menus.

Is marijuana legal in Colorado?

Yes. Both recreational and medical marijuana have been legal in Colorado since 2012. Recreational dispensaries opened January 1, 2014, making Colorado one of the first states in the country to allow adult-use cannabis sales. Anyone 21 or older with a valid government-issued photo ID can purchase recreational cannabis at a LivWell location. Medical purchases require a valid Colorado medical marijuana card.

Can I buy cannabis at a Colorado dispensary if I'm from out of state

Yes. Any adult 21 or older with a valid government-issued photo ID can purchase recreational cannabis in Colorado, regardless of where they're from. Colorado law sets the same purchase limits for out-of-state visitors and residents alike. Just note that cannabis cannot legally be transported across state lines — you'll need to enjoy your purchase within Colorado.

How much cannabis can I buy at a Colorado dispensary?
Colorado's recreational purchase limits per transaction are: up to 1 ounce of cannabis flower, up to 8 grams of concentrate, up to 800 milligrams of edibles, or up to 8,000 milligrams of vapes. You can also combine these in one purchase — for example, half an ounce of flower plus a couple of edibles. Possession limits are up to 2 ounces at a time. Medical patients may have higher limits with a valid Colorado medical card.
Where can I consume cannabis in Colorado?

Cannabis consumption in Colorado is limited to private property — your home, backyard, or any other privately owned space not visible to the public. It is not permitted in cars (even parked), hotels, rental properties, national parks, ski resorts, or any public space. Some licensed consumption lounges exist, but always check local rules before consuming anywhere other than your own private property. When in doubt, ask your LivWell budtender — they're happy to help.
